Why RBI is the best led Central Bank in the World?
|
|
In these days of
extensive global financial crisis, when practically
all economies, except China and India have gone for
a toss, I studied the problem. It basically revolves
around the policies and strategies adopted by
Central Banks of respective countries. I have
summarized the reasons for RBI's success and the
same can be seen at my blog by clicking on the link

The Role of Cultural Dimensions in Consumers’ Service Experiences – SERVQUAL Concept
|
|
In the post
titled Cultural
differences that may affect international operations
and marketing, I had
highlighted the five dimensions as given by
Hofstede. SERVQUAL is a service quality framework.
SERVQUAL was developed in the mid eighties by Zeithaml,
Parasuraman & Berry. Originally measured on 10
aspects of service quality: reliability,
responsiveness, competence, access, courtesy,
communication, credibility, security, understanding
or knowing the customer and tangibles. It measures
the gap between customer expectations and
experience. The authors had later refined the model
to the useful acronym RATER and included only 5
aspects as the original model was too complicated
and had its critics. Paying

Globalization, Standardization and Adaptation debate – Conclusion
|
|
I had initiated this debate
in the class room consisting of 11 EMBA students of
the 2009 – 10 batch. Overall all students
concluded that globalization has led to progress,
advancement, development and improved quality of
life. It has also led to better governments which
focused on infrastructure and other development
activities to remain competitive to attract
investments. To give an example, I have been a long
time Chennai resident from 1965. The first major
flyover was at the Gemini Circle on Mount Road. It
remained the only flyover practically for 3 decades.
However, between 1995 till date we have nearly a
hundred flyovers all over Chennai. Hyderabad, a
place where I lived for 10 years has changed beyond
recognition. The same case with many other cities
and towns. While this growth is gladdening, it has
also brought up many problems. There are some areas
globalization has acted negatively. The reason is
not far off. It is due to the government which
always basks in reflected glory. Indian people have
done well for themselves despite having useless
governments led by incompetent leaders, who focus on
minor or irrelevant issues. They always believe in
catching the tail rather than the head. We catch the
tail of the snake and other reptiles first before
going for the head. For all others it is the head
first. I am giving item wise position on the subject
and the same can be accessed by clicking on the link
above to the right.
